Lately, nothing I do goes well, it just doesn’t. My internet connection is disconnecting whenever it feels like it, by the time it was fixed (after 3 engineers and endless phone calls) I ran out of cooking gas, which needed to be check by an engineer because it has to be checked every 5 years and the last period has just ended! And of course this is only the beginning…
So I thought I could go back into writing because maybe it would lift up my spirit a bit from the marvelous dive it took lately, though, considering the circumstances, I kept it quite cool thanks to everything I’ve learned and practiced.
Meditation has many shapes and forms, it’s pretty much like the colors our eyes can see, it has no end. Meditation is not something you need to start or finish, it’s a constant practice you owe to yourself so it’ll be easier to deal with your life, just like you brush your teeth in the morning or wash your face. I know that most people don’t really understand why it’s so important or even why to do it at all but this individual experience, that I can’t explain to you in words, is one of the most important and crucial experiences you can give yourself in life.
Every person I met with, up until now, has a different approach to meditation, some start with breathing, some with emptying their minds, some might start with some sort of physical practice. For each and every one of us something else works better but you can never know what works for you until you try it, even after you’ve found what works for you it might change over time. The meditation hasn’t changed actually, it’s you that have changed and so a different thing is needed to influence you. Every time you meditate you open a different box in your mind, but boxes have keys and every box is unique.
Same as there are no two 100% similar experiences in life there are no similar meditations, doesn’t matter how small the difference is or even if you can feel it or not, it’s there.
If you find yourself having troubles meditating even for a few minutes a day, then maybe you ought to try a different kind of meditation, change something, change everything, but keep doing it, your rewards will be indescribable!
